C A S T A W A Y Before you know it something will come without warning or mercy. With no list at hand of what must be saved even your breath will be taken from you. Woe betide you try to flee with nowhere to hide and no higher ground. Against some things there is no defending only succumbing to life underwater. One thing is certain: in the end you will find refuge, cast away, free of falsehoods, laid bare again on the clean-swept shore of your life. ~ from REUNION SONGS: poems for reconnection and remembering yourself home.
Sending love to all who are suffering and feeling swept away and heartbroken by life.
May gentler days find you soon.
Sadly my dear father passed away on 2 January. I am feeling a swirl of so many feelings that I don’t have the words for yet. I hope to be able to write more in time, but for now my family and I are finding so much comfort, strength and joy in being together and in the great tide of support, love and memories flowing our way.
In remembering and reconnection, and with much love Amanda x
P.S. Some housekeeping …
