Hi folks, thanks for still being here after what seems like a long hiatus. It feels good to be back! I hope you enjoy this week’s poem. I don’t often write poems that rhyme, and I had fun bringing this one to life. Until next week, mind yourselves and see you in the comments! With love, Amanda
LIVING SONG I've lived in ordinary places at unimportant times, always longing for tomorrow, forever waiting for a sign. I've never found the time or place to satisfy that appetite, life is an insatiable mystery, known by magic not by might. There are no rules to follow only sing out 'I am here!', then pay close attention, to what falls into your ear. This life is a precious gift, one long leaving and return, so take your sweet time my love, there is so much to unlearn. You are a living song, a prayer ancient and not yet written, born to know and to dare, an echo throughout the ether.
"This life is a precious gift,
one long leaving and return,
so take your sweet time my love,
there is so much to unlearn."
I want these lines tattooed!! So brilliant. I've so missed your words, thank you thank you thank you.
Landed for me too Amanda - I love reading your poetry at the beach when it's rainy
