N O T D A R K Y E T What would the old ones do if they knew darkness was coming? I cup my hand to my ear, waves crash against my palm, I listen for/hear what is hidden. When the curlew cries into the night, remember they descend from heirs of the fall of an ancient age of kings, ones who also loved and lost a world then offered themselves to the wind. Until then we must tend the garden, love all the children, share tea, go on in the world as we find it. We keep it worth living in, otherwise what would we do for solace then?
Now that Reunion Songs is making its own way in the world, I’m looking forward to writing and sharing more here, including more poetic essays and a reimagined paid subscription offering. I’ll be sharing more about that soon. In the meantime, you’ll find me under the trees where the seeds of so many poems grow.
Setting up and running a one woman publishing house has been a wild ride! So much gratitude to you all and for all that you do in support of me and my work, seen and unseen. You have helped give me and Reunion Songs wings!
Until next week, take care of each other’s hearts.
Yours in kindness and re/connection, xAmanda

"Until then we must tend the garden,

That's the question isn't it, Amanda... We have to get beyond projection and hope .. and live and love well anyway... Because that's the only good option ... Even in a tipped over world
So beautiful and tender Amanda! Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on Reunion Songs!!
